The music ministry at APC exists to help lead the congregation in singing praise to our triune God and in ministering God's Word to his people through song. God's glory is the chief and highest end of our worship, therefore our music ministry is committed to making his praise glorious. Our music is intentionally:
- Trinitarian - praising the excellencies of the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit.
- Word-Driven - saturated with Scripture and faithful
- Gospel-focused - proclaiming the good news of the perfect life, substitutionary death, and triumphant resurrection of King Jesus.
Corporate worship is not a a performance to be observed or a product to be consumed but rather an event that we are called to participate in. One of the ways in which the congregation participates in corporate worship is through the sung praise of God. We believe that congregational singing is the most important musical event that happens in our services, therefore this is where the music ministry focuses most of its attention. We aim to use the best hymnody from throughout church history. We sing many of the traditional hymns of the Reformed faith as well as the best of modern hymnody.
We are always looking for more vocalists and instrumentalists to assist the music ministry by exercising their musical gifts. If you would like more information about serving in the music ministry please contact Music Ministry Assistant Mrs. Linda Sease at 828-684-7221 ext. 357 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
