We'd love for you to visit Arden Presbyterian Church. Below you will find answers to common questions about what to expect upon your visit:
What time are your services?
Sunday School begins in-person and virtually via Zoom at 9:30 a.m. and the Worship Service begins in-person and virtually via our Livestream at 10:45 a.m.
Where are you located?
The church is located at 2215 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC 28704
What does the church believe?
Arden is a conservative, evangelical, Reformed church. We believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of Scripture and that Jesus Christ is the only hope for salvation. A fuller statement of our beliefs can be found here.
What should I expect during the worship service?
A joyous and reverent celebration of God's grace to us in Christ! Each week we hear God call us to worship Him from His Word, we celebrate His majesty and grace in singing, we confess our sins together, and we hear God speak to us through the preached Word. On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper. You can see our order of worship for this Sunday by clicking here.
What is the preaching like?
Our regular pattern is to preach verse by verse through books of the Bible. Our aim is to preach the whole counsel of God because it is God's Word alone that is authoritative and sufficient for our salvation, sanctification, and comfort. Our preaching seeks to be God-exalting, Christ-centered, and Spirit-filled. You can hear sermons from the Arden pulpit here.
What kind of music do you have?
We believe that the purpose of the music is to aid the congregation in singing. We use a variety of instruments (piano, organ, percussion, strings, etc.) to accompany the congregation in their sung praise of God. We seek to use the best psalms, hymns and spiritual songs from throughout church history as we glorify the Triune God through singing.
Do you have Sunday School?
We offer a Sunday School program for children (ages 2+) through to adults of all ages. We also have a nursery available for infants and toddlers. Sunday School runs from 9:30am - 10:15am each Sunday. You can find more information about Sunday School here.
Do you have a nursery?
We have a clean and safe nursery where loving childcare is provided for children up to three-years old. The nursery is located downstairs in the Sanctuary building and is open during both Sunday School and Worship beginning at 9:30. You can find a map of our buildings here.
What programs do you have for children?
See our Children's Ministry page.
I have a pastoral need. Who can I talk to?
If you have an emergency pastoral need, you can talk to any of our pastors. If you are in need of financial assistance, you can contact our Church Business Administrator. If you have a question about a particular area of ministry you can contact the staff person overseeing that area.
