Our mission is to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve.
As a ministry, we come alongside parents to teach their children the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and equip them to know, love, and serve Him. We do this through faithfully teaching the Word of God, building relationships with students and their families, and by providing opportunities for them to grow in their relationship with Christ by serving in the church and in the world.
The youth ministry provides the following opportunities for students:
Sunday School (9:30am)
On Sunday mornings, middle and high school students gather together as a large group for a time of singing, large group instruction, and then we break into smaller groups for discussion-oriented Bible study and prayer. This semester we are studying the Gospel of John.
Youth Group (Wednesdays @ 6:15 pm)
On Wednesday evenings, we have youth group for middle and high school students. During the school year we meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm. During the summer we meet on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Our ministry is open to all students.
In addition to our regularly scheduled events, we also plan other monthly times of fellowship such as board game nights, canoeing, hiking, biking trips, campouts, gaga ball, movie nights, bowling, skiing, ice skating, etc.
Retreats and Conferences
Annual Youth Retreats are held spring, summer, and fall and are open not only to the youth of Arden Presbyterian Church, but other youth who wish to attend as well.
Mission Trips & Service Opportunities
Throughout the year we regularly schedule opportunities to serve our church and community. There are also opportunities to go on national and international mission trips with our church family. In the past, we have served with MTW Cherokee, Hope for the Inner City in Chattanooga, TN, and an international summer trip in Peru. God willing, this year we will go to Puerto Rico (8/3-8/10). Our Service and Outreach Week (SOW), this year is June 16-21.
Church Family Involvement
As a youth ministry, we are committed to encouraging students to be involved in the life of the church by using their gifts to serve in various capacities. Opportunities for service include the nursery, children's ministry, music ministry, and ushering. We also come together with the church body for events such as the mid-week meal, Fall Family Day, and all worship services.
