A native of Easley, South Carolina, Barbara graduated from Clemson University (Go Tigers!) with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught Kindergarten and second grade in South Carolina before moving to North Carolina with her family. It was at Clemson where she met her husband, Cam, and they have four grown children and three grandchildren. Barbara joined the preschool staff in 1992—first as a teacher, and later as director. A few of her favorites: adventures with her family, Clemson football, crafting – all kinds (which also means making messes), and reading.

He worked at Arden Presbyterian Church during college as a Youth Summer Intern, and then started working full-time at APC in 2024.

He loves ping pong (and all other racket sports), barbershop quartets, swing-dancing, biking, and playing/collecting board games. Elliot is so excited to disciple and equip the youth to follow Christ, and aid others with the same goal.

Jean-Marie VunCannon joined the church staff in 2003.  She attended the University of North Carolina and has taken a few classes at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.  She is married to Tony VunCannon and they have one married daughter.  Away from church, Jean-Marie enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking, drinking coffee, and reading classic British literature.

Jean-Marie longs to see the women of Arden growing in their relationships with the Lord and with His people.  She wants to see homes and families transformed by the power of the gospel.  She enjoys seeing the big picture of the gospel at work in the lives of God's people and she is always encouraged to see the faithfulness of the people at Arden.
