Jean-Marie VunCannon, Director of Women's Ministries
Jean-Marie VunCannon joined the church staff in 2003. She attended the University of North Carolina and has taken a few classes at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. She is married to Tony VunCannon and they have one married daughter. Away from church, Jean-Marie enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking, drinking coffee, and reading classic British literature.
Jean-Marie longs to see the women of Arden growing in their relationships with the Lord and with His people. She wants to see homes and families transformed by the power of the gospel. She enjoys seeing the big picture of the gospel at work in the lives of God's people and she is always encouraged to see the faithfulness of the people at Arden.
Kathy Meeks, Assistant Director of Children's Ministries
Kathy Meeks joined the church staff in 2017. Kathy was raised in a delightful Christian home and came to know the Lord at a very young age. She graduated from Columbia International University in South Carolina. Kathy taught elementary grades in Christian school settings - most recently in Moscow, Russia where she met her husband, Tom. Their son, Thomson, is seventeen and is currently studying in Austria. Kathy loves exploring new places, baking and scouring estate sales.
Dan Berger, Church Business Administrator
Dan Berger joined the church staff in 2001. He studied business at Appalachian State University and earned an M.B.A from Wake Forest University. He is married to Mary and have three children, Ben, Ashley, and John. Dan enjoys a variety of hobbies, including leading Boy Scouts, camping, fishing, gardening, making stained glass windows, and being a member of the Steeler Nation.
Dan enjoys meeting and working with a variety of people in his day-to-day work.
Lia Castiglione, Pastoral Secretary
Lia Castiglione joined the staff in 2018. She graduated in 2007 from West Henderson High then spread her wings in Orlando FL to work for Mickey Mouse. Missing her WNC mountains, she moved back in 2013 with her family and worked for Biltmore Farms Hotels for four years in the Sales and Events department. She left to stay home with her two children in 2017 and God called her to Arden Presbyterian a few months later to serve as the Pastoral Secretary. She enjoys thrift shopping, crafting, singing, and spending time with her family.
