Women's Ministry

Arden Presbyterian Church Women’s Ministries are dedicated to seeing all women at Arden growing as disciples in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ...

We desire to fulfill this goal in three ways:

1) Studying the Word of God - individually and corporately through         Bible studies, special programs, and annual retreats.

2) Discipling and Mentoring - formally and informally, our women         are dedicated to cross-generational relationships, with the goal         of older women mentoring younger women, as per the mandate         given in Titus 2:3-5.

3) Outreach and Service - We encourage women to extend the mercy of Christ to others through service opportunities within Bible studies, outreach ministries, and various committees.

BIBLE STUDIES

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Tuesday mornings during the school year, we meet from 9:30-11:30 am in the Fellowship Room (Sanctuary Lower Level).  This is a time of large group instruction, small group discussion, fellowship, and service.  Loving childcare is provided.  This year we will be studying Exodus.

Once per month we have “Salt and Light Days.”  These are opportunities for Bible study participants to serve the church and community in the name of Christ.

Ladies Evening Small Group

We gather for a time of small group Bible study and discussion.  Please call the church office for details about time and topic.

OUTREACH AND SERVICE

Arden Cares provides food for members of the church during times of need including birth, illness, and surgery.

The Bereavement Committee provides food for the bereaved family of church members.

The Encouragement Committee sends cards and notes to ill and bereaved church family members.

Hands of Faith ministry reaches out with the love of Christ to cancer patients and their families through prayer and practical service.

The Hospitality Committee hosts Easter and Christmas brunches for the church family as well as receptions in honor of new members and transitioning church staff.

The Prayer Chain ministry regularly intercedes for the needs of the Arden church family, receiving requests via email.

The Sewing Circle meets monthly for a variety of sewing projects to benefit the church body and the community.

Sewin’ So (Much More!) is a time where experienced sewers and crafters offer their expertise to women interested in learning to sew or to hone their sewing and crafting skills in an environment of fun and fellowship.  Childcare is provided by reservation.

Single Women in Support and Service (SWISS) is a share group for women without a spouse, meeting regularly for encouragement and support as well as working together on various service projects.
