Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at Arden Presbyterian Church is comprised of several groups. The Sanctuary Choir is a group of people who love to sing and give of their time and talents. We meet every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. to practice. Our Sanctuary Orchestra is made up of volunteers from the church, and supplemented by hired players when needed. These two groups will be in the choir loft and stage most every Sunday morning, leading the congregation in worshipping and praising God. We depend on Him for everything we do.
We have some other special groups. One is the "Circle of Praise" comprised of several of our ladies. Their music is uplifting and their harmony is amazing. Another group called "Break Fourth" is a men's quartet. They sing for other churches in the area as well as for us. We attempt to have one or the other group sing every month.
We have a part-time children's choir at the moment who usually sing at Easter and Christmas.
CHOIR
Our choir practices for Sunday morning services on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm. As we approach Christmas and Easter we rehearse from 6:30-8:30 pm. All singers are invited to sing with us. You do not have to be a member of the church to join.
The choir takes a summer break from the last week in June to the 2nd week in August. We still sing on Sunday's, but use music we've practiced throughout the year. We meet in the rehearsal room at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings to go over the service.
ORCHESTRA
Our orchestra practices for Sunday morning services on Sunday morning from 8:30-10:00 am. As we approach Christmas and Easter, we will announce additional practice times. Any member or visitor who plays an instrument and would like to participate with us should contact the music office at 684-7221, ext. 419.
CHILDREN’S CHOIR
Our children's choir will begin practicing for Easter about a month beforehand. They rehearse on Sunday afternoons. As we approach Easter, a rehearsal schedule will be announced.
